The Psychology of Gout
It is widely known and proven that hyperuricemia (high levels of uric acid), gout is a complication of health directly caused by food that one eats during the year. The impact of having a high protein diet that is rich in purines, which increase the production of uric acid in the body, causing an incipient gout attacks.
It is therefore important for us to have a balanced diet to avoid the problem of hyperuricemia and gout potential attacks. There are some words that go like this,"When you have arthritis, you will have to live with it the rest of his life."But the reality is that most patients drop only realize the importance of balancing their diet after their arthritic condition has reached a stage where attacks often visit the pain and still growing.
May be this is how human psychology works, we have the pain stop us from yielding to the pursuit of happiness, in this case, the temptation of good food. As mentioned by some of the popular spiritual gurus of motivation, there are only two reasons why we do what we do. It's either out of our desire to continue happy or our need to avoid pain.
In modern life, we are surrounded by abundance of food of different varieties. The temptation for the pleasure of a good meal is always there, especially when the pain is not felt. We tend to take things for granted, and eat what you want, without considering the consequences.
Often, patients with arthritis have a tendency to live in the frequent repentance. Someone who only have one regret attack during dinner, he had taken last night. For those whose condition becomes chronic and severe, who regret the lifestyle and diet, lived many years ago.
It is an ignorance's, which leads to the problem of rheumatism. An arthritis sufferer can never stop a recurrence of gout attacks, until he recognizes the root of the problem and are willing to make a change of lifestyle. It takes a very strong will and personal discipline to neutralize the uric acid that we have collected over the years.
For those who remain ignorant, they will continue to treat gout as a disease. They believe that they were"disease" suddenly, as if because of some infection or something and treat it with some substances or injection later. He will be dependent on the drug, while he lives in the shadow of the ghostly arthritis.
Like it or not, there is no immediate fix for the problem of gout. The sooner you accept and acknowledge the truth, the sooner you can get out of this nightmare.
